 The purpose of Washington Hotwire is the critical examination of the policies, plans, and programs, of Washington and the World. Without fear or favor.

 Washington Hotwire respects not individuals, ideas, or institutions. Each is evaluated in terms of the Christian faith.

 The objective of Washington Hotwire is to provide an independent point of view on life in our times. Neither pushing the propaganda of the Left nor advancing the agenda of the Right.

 As such, Washington Hotwire will not use, or permit to be used in its Articles and Comments, the use of politically-devised terms like “terrorism” and “terrorist.” For, one man’s terrorist and the next man’s “freedom fighter.”

 In a similar vein, and though its Editor is a Catholic-Christian, Washington Hotwire will not favor one religion over another. Nor favor religion over non-belief.

 That said, Washington Hotwire will advance those Catholic and Christian ideas and ideals, and ideas and ideals from other religions, that promote the sanity and stability of Society. And, in keeping with its purpose, trenchantly critique those that retard passage and progress.

No critical examination is ever welcome. Nor will what Washington Hotwire has to say.

But, it’s time to destroy illusions.
